What can BCAT offer to students and volunteers?
What is Arts Therapies Working Group (ATWG)?
This group was set up for volunteers – bringing together people with an interest in Arts Therapies and Arts in Health, who are willing to offer their time for office based work and/or placements in a variety of organisations within the community. ATWG can be involved in providing music, art, drama and dance sessions to groups of children and adults within schools, day centres and other community settings.
Our volunteer programme enables those with an interest in delivering community arts to shadow more experienced arts in health facilitators on community placements, that could potentially lead to running your own paid sessions once confident enough to do so. BCAT will support you all the way through scheduled supervision sessions.
BCAT has a monthly Open Evening on the first Wednesday of each month from 5pm - 7pm. Contact ATWG to book your place.
